The air conditioning is the process that is considered more complete treatment of local ambient air habitation, they regulate the conditions in terms of temperature (heating or cooling), humidity, cleanliness (renewal filtering) and the movement of air inside the premises.

There are two kinds of air conditioning systems, include self-employed and centralized. The former produce heat or cold and treats the air. The latter have a  conditioner / is that only treat the air and thermal energy obtained from a centralized system. In the latter case, the heat output usually being fuel fired boilers.

In winter, when the air is heated without providing moisture, the relative humidity decreases causing drying of the respiratory mucosa, with consequent physiological discomfort. The humidifier function, which runs in winter in the humidifier should be placed after the heating coil as the warmer air has the ability to absorb more moisture.

En los casos de grandes instalaciones, se recurre a baterías humidificadoras que incorporan al aire agua finamente pulverizada y, como cumplen además una función, suelen llamarse también lavadores de aire.
